A very special welcome to all our Girls players and especially to those registering with the Club for the first time. Our club has a number of grounds across the Howick Pakuranga area, with Lloyd Elsmore the main ground.
All activity in the Junior Club is managed by the Junior Committee Members and Grade Liaison Officers. All are volunteers who give of their time for the enjoyment of junior cricket, played by the players for the players.
A Grade Liaison Officer manages the entire girls grade and is responsible for the organisation of the grade. Coaches and Managers for each team work with the Liaison Officer to ensure the effective running of the teams in all ways. Remember your Grade Liaison Officer is always your first port of call for any of your Grade specific queries.
Girls cricket is on the increase at HPCC and we are extremely fortunate to have an enthusiastic group coaches, managers and administrators dedicated to encouraging girls to participate in cricket with enjoyment and success.
Structure
Girls in School Years 4-13 will play games against other girl’s only teams from other clubs including Cornwall, University, Grafton and Parnell.
Girls in School Years 1-3 will play against other girl’s teams if we have sufficient numbers, otherwise in the boy’s grades.
Game rules vary depending on the age group level but the emphasis is on participation.
Games are played at home and away.
Games start at 8:30 am and finish at (about) 12 noon for year’s 1-8.
Games start at 12.30 pm and finish at (about) 6.00pm for year’s 9-13.
Coaches will schedule practice for a week night, which night will depend on their and the players availability. The coach will decide the location for practice.
The club will provide all cricket equipment.
Teams will be organised in mid-October once registrations have been collated.

The season traditionally commences on the first Saturday, after Labour Week End, and the programme continues through to the week end prior to Christmas. The season then restarts on the first Saturday, after Waitangi Day and continues through to end of March. For the exact dates please refer to the Club Calendar.
Teams will be advised by mid-October, once coaches and managers have been finalised.
