Coaching

The Howick Pakuranga Cricket Club is committed to developing cricketers of all ages and abilities and helping them to improve their cricket skills.

As such, the club employs experienced, fully qualified coaches to work with players throughout the year. The coaches help run team sessions, holiday programmes, winter training and are available for one-on-one coaching.

COACH DEVELOPMENT

Across all of our teams, we want to ensure the best possible experience for our players. We ensure that all of our coaches are registered with New Zealand Cricket and have completed suitable coaching qualifications. We will be running Foundation, Advanced Foundation and Development courses throughout the season to ensure that our coaches have all the skills they need to work with their teams.

Additionally, all coaches at the complete an Adult Vetting process to ensure the safest possible environment for all players.

Training sessions are held throughout the season for umpires and scorers. These sessions are useful for coaches, players and volunteers to get a better understanding of the rules of the game and how to manage player behavior on the field.
